In My Mailbox & Breaking Down the Monster: October --LIVER

This post is going to be a joint post for In My Mailbox and Breaking Down the Monster. If you missed the first of the monster posts, go read the one for September. But in short, we're breaking down our TBR piles (a.k.a. the monsters) and picking out which books we're going to read each month and the goal is to stick to reading those books and try to finish them all by the end of the month (and feel free to join in with your own posts/use the banner if you want).

We'll start with IMM:

Julie

Just one book this week, but super excited about it!

For Review:
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

And a quick note. I started a tumblr all about my college process after being inspired by a bunch of people tumblring about their first year of college. So, it's here if you want to follow my college process and thoughts and musings (there's a lot of thoughts about college...so yeah.)

I bought Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness (so now I own the entire Chaos Walking trilogy) and Boy's Life by Robert McCammon (which I've heard amazing things about and I read a few quotes from it on tumblr and they were awesome). And I was sent Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon for review which I'm really excited about and also Playground by 50 Cent (not really my kind of thing, if I don't read it then I may give it to my nephew to read).

And for the monster update...

We'll both tell you how our September reading went then give you our October lists. We'll give a list of our September books and: bold = the ones we read, strike out = the ones we did not read,  italics = books read which were not on the list originally, books* = ones started but not finished.

Seeing as September went pretty well (I mean, I may not have read all the books I chose but I read most and quite a few extra ones), I'm gonna just do what I did with September and read as many as I can of these ones and allow myself to read any extra books or review books too.

Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon (review book)
Firelight by Sophie Jordan
