You see, I thought I was going to BEA. I really, really did. I made my schedule for all three days (even though I always knew I was only going for one day). I thought about the bloggers/authors/books I'd look for. I was ready. Then I found out I couldn't go for college-related reasons. But instead of letting all that planning go to waste, I'm posting my ~dream~ schedule. Because this took a lot of time and thought and I hate the idea it was pointless. And YOU guys can learn about some books you might not of heard of, maybe some new authors, some new bloggers and if you're going to BEA and planning, maybe this will remind you of something you forgot. Although, since I made this schedule in like April, the times/dates might not be wholly accurate anymore, so don't totally base your own schedule on this.
Tuesday:
Julianne Donaldson – Edenbrooke (10:30-12)
Julie Kagawa – The Immortal Rules (11-11:45)
Daniel Handler (11-12)
Gretchen McNeil – Ten (1-1:30)
Marie Lu – Patriot (2-3)
Kat Zhang – What’s Left of Me (3-3:30)
Maggie Stiefvater – The Raven Boys (3-4)
Caragh M. O’Brien – Promised (3-4)
Suzanne Lazear – Innocent Darkness (4-5)
(since making this schedule, Myra McEntire has been added to the Tuesday line up. I WOULD HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO BE ON THAT LINE. EVERY. THING.)
Wednesday:
Sarah Maas – Throne of Glass (10-11)
John Green – The Fault in Our Stars/Abundance of Katherines (10:30-11)
Julianne Donaldson – Edenbrooke (10:30-12)
Kristen Cashore – Bitterblue (11-12)
Chris Colfer (11-12)
Sarah MacLean – A Rogue by Any Other Name (11:30-12:30)
Diana Peterfreund – For Darkness Shows the Stars (1-1:30)
Bethany Griffin – Masque of the Red Death (1-2)
Veronica Roth – Insurgent (1-2)
Gennifer Albin – Crewel (1-2)
Libba Bray – The Diviners (3-4)
Tamara Ireland – Time Between Us (3-4)
Julie Kagawa – The Immortal Rules (4-5)
Thursday:
Jackson Pearce – Fathomless (10-11)
Alexandra Bracken – The Darkest Minds (9:30-10)
I know, realistically, I would not have been able to make all these signings. Not even close. Too many people I want to talk to! And the ones listed twice I wouldn't have GONE to twice, I just like having options.
So, who would've teared me away from some awesome books? Well, a lot of bloggers for one. Nicole at Word for Teens, most definitely. I've met Nicole already and she's super awesome and we managed to talk for hours when we did. There was like 30 seconds of awkward and then it was like we've known each other for years. Clearly, I need to see her again.
Brent at The Naughty Book Kitties as well as 500,000 other places on the internet (because he's that fabulous) would definitely be on my list of people to stalk. This boy and I have discussed how we're going to live in the city and we're both going to be in publishing and we'll do coffees all the time so obviously I would've liked to make that happen sooner.
Some other awesome people I've been talking to for what seems like ever and I'd want to meet include Rebecca at Rebecca's Book Blog, Katie at Katie's Book Blog, April at Good Books and Good Wine, Pam at Bookalicious, Jamie at The Perpetual Page-Turner, and Donna at Bites. This is far from everyone I'd want to meet, but this is a basic list of people I'm desperate to meet/might squeal at in an attempt to speak. Plus it's a chance for me to make sure you follow their blogs because these are a lot of my favorites. (Also Harmony's Radiant Reads, because she is my soul sister, but Harmony won't be there so sadfaces all around and free pimping for Harmony anyway).
I would also make an effort to visit every publicist I work with so I can put a name to a face. Also because I don't really email them often, so I should let them know I'm not dead. And I would make sure to visit Alison, an editor at EgmontUSA who I talk to and who has been awesome to me, so I would definitely want to say hi. And I know Kody Keplinger will be hanging around BEA and Mitali will be hanging around at events outside of BEA, so I would've loved to stop and see them too!
Some other books I'd be on the lookout for? (As this could get long, I'm just listing and linking folks. Sorry!)

Honestly, I doubt I'd actually grab all of these either. I don't even know if most of them will be at BEA. I kinda just went through my wishlist and picked out things coming out after BEA that had covers or I knew would get covers by BEA or I saw it on a post of books to look for at BEA so...I think those should be there, you know? We can really just consider this part of the post a giant Waiting on Wednesday.
But...yeah. That is a very broad BEA plan that I would've gotten into more detail with if I was really going and during BEA itself I'm sure I would've cut even more things. And I hope this helps at least one of you because it took me more time than I'd care to admit to make this fairly simple post.
